The "original" St. John's Church Cemetery, located adjacent to the church and Cemetery Road, and north of Pearson Street in Auburn, PA, began processing interments in the late 1850s. While this site may still receive an occasional burial of those individuals who already had lots committed to them, most recent and future burials have and will occur at the "new" cemetery site for St. John's Church located east of Auburn adjacent to Rt. 895. Presently the Pearson Street site has approximately a little over 1,000 confirmed interments, it is definitely possible and even probable that a few additional interments are present which are not clearly marked, and which are not captured in the church records. The genealogical research website findagrave.com has a listing for 1,080 interments within this cemetery...several dozen of which are currently unmarked and/or their grave site location is unknown. Attached you will find links to both a newly revised Cemetery Road Cemetery Map/Chart to aid you in physically locating actual grave sites as well as an extensively comprehensive Cemetery Directory which will be a highly beneficial tool in conducting genealogical or historical research.
