AUBURN CORNET BAND - A Reading Eagle newspaper article from February 1896 relating the death of 15- year-old Auburn resident Willie Baldinger, stated that he was a member of the "Auburn Cornet Band". This band name may have been a less-official name for the below mentioned "Mechanics Band of Auburn".

MECHANICS BAND OF AUBURN - "Auburn Notes. - A cornet band has been organized in Auburn, numbering about twelve pieces, known as the Mechanics Band of Auburn. Prof. L. Drumheller from Orwigsburg is teacher." - Undated and unidentified source.

OUR BOYS BAND - "Billy Edwards" of Orwigsburg, PA was tentatively identified as the leader of the band.
A Ralph Edward Wildermuth was tentatively identi-fied as a member of the band. |
