In this website, "Industries" are determined to be businesses that manufacture or create a product from raw materials on a medium- to large-scale basis, usually within a fairly big building & often (but not always) employing numerous people.  We included in this category the topics of "Coal-related" (a big industry in Schuylkill County...not so much in the Auburn area), "Feed Mills", "Garment Industry" & "Manufacturing".  We still have some of these industries in our area today providing gainful employment to many hard working Americans.
