Harpel's (4)
Updated 07/16/2019
When it comes to the production of post cards, Auburn had its fair share of entrepreneurs. Some are easily identified. Frank Brown, a popular pharmacist and amateur photographer, created professional looking post cards to sell in his drug store. Another unidentified individual made several post cards with a numeral written on the face of the card. Still others published cards but took no credit for their efforts. This page is dedicated to the handful of post cards created by a photography and printing company named "Harpel's" which was based out of Lebanon, PA. The company was established in 1890 and finally went out of business an impressive 121 years later in 2010. Our thanks goes to contributing editor Brandy Martin Watts for providing us the information on the company.
