They say "the love of money is the root of all evil". We don't "love" money, but unfortunately, the Auburn Area Historical Society does need money if it is to continue to grow and flourish. The historical society makes an effort to generate some of its own money through the sale of fund-raising merchandise and Lifetime Membership fees, but a larger portion of our Treasury depends upon the generosity of those donors who give monetary donations. Our eventual goal is to have a professional grade museum facility dedicated to the preservation of Auburn's history, but that requires cash. All of our officers and members are non-paid supporters, so if you would like to help the historical society achieve its goals, 100% of your monetary donation goes directly to defraying expenses incurred by the society. Listed below are some options for your consideration:
(1) Straight financial donation. Larger monetary donors will also be recognized with a framed certificate
and listed in the appropriate category. Standard donations range from $1 - $99. Silver donations range
from $100 - $249. Gold donations range from $250 - $499. Platinum donations range are $500 and higher. (2) Donation box deposits. A donation box is present at all A.A.H.S. meetings or scheduled events. Cash or
checks may be anonymously deposited into the box at these functions.
(3) Membership fees. A Lifetime Membership is only $50. Lifetime Membership include the award
of a framed certificate indicating your support of the A.A.H.S. (see "Membership" category details).
(4) Purchase of fund-raising merchandise. All of our fund raising merchandise is reasonably priced and
all of the items are great keepsakes or make great gifts. (Visit our "Merchandise" option to view these items).
(5) Other. Cash is always welcome, but we are also currently able to accept personal checks, business checks
or money orders made payable to the "Auburn Area Historical Society". Donations may be mailed
to "Auburn Area Historical Society; P.O Box 114; Auburn, PA 17922" or given directly to any A.A.H.S. officer.
